About Lomond

A mixed bunch,
in the best way.

We are a friendly, inclusive swimming and triathlon club bringing together people from West Dunbartonshire, south-east Argyll and the communities around Loch Lomond.

Our club

A club, not an audition.

Some members are chasing a personal best. Others are learning front crawl, trying trail running or working up to a first open-water start. Those are all perfectly good reasons to join.

Qualified coaches and experienced members help people develop at a sensible pace. Volunteers keep the club running, from regular sessions to our Beastie race weekend.

Triathlon Scotland

Triathlon Scotland affiliated club

Local club. Part of the national network.

We are affiliated to Triathlon Scotland, the governing body for triathlon in Scotland and part of the British Triathlon family. That connects Lomond to support for clubs, coaches, volunteers, safe events and safeguarding across the sport.

Individual membership

More support for the sport.

What we try to get right

No grand slogans. Just a decent club.

01

Say hello

New faces, returning athletes and seasoned racers all get the same welcome.

02

Your pace counts

Confidence, consistency and enjoyment matter as much as splits and podiums.

03

Look after each other

We train responsibly, share experience and keep safety at the heart of every session.

04

Take a turn

Volunteers make the club and the Beastie possible. There is usually a job—and often a biscuit.

Our home ground

Loch, hills, trails and plenty of weather.

Loch Lomond gives us a spectacular place to swim, ride and run. Balloch Castle Country Park is also home to our famous Beastie Triathlons — a race weekend built and delivered by club volunteers.
