What we train
Join the disciplines that suit your goals. Nobody is taking attendance, and you do not have to train for a triathlon to train with us.
Technique · fitness · open water
Work on your stroke and fitness in the pool. Open-water sessions happen seasonally, when the weather and safety cover agree.
Handling · endurance · off-road
Build fitness and handling through group rides and focused sessions, with local knowledge for the roads and trails.
Steady · speed · trail
Choose from social miles, structured efforts and trail runs, whether you are aiming for a first 5K or a quicker triathlon leg.
Bricks · transitions · race craft
Put the disciplines together, practise transitions and discover why running after cycling feels quite so peculiar.
The weekly rhythm
Our programme has a solid weekly backbone, with pool swimming and run sessions carrying through the year. Winter adds Zwift, circuits, spin and yoga; from May, open-water swimming and outdoor rides take a bigger share of the fun.
Pool swimming, interval and track running, Zwift rides, circuits or spin, yoga and occasional long-course swimming.
Pool and run sessions continue, joined by open-water swimming and more outdoor cycling.
Coaches, venues and session types can change. Outdoor and open-water plans also depend on conditions and safety cover.
A typical week
This is the usual pattern, not a promise that every Tuesday will behave itself. Exact sessions are confirmed with members, so newcomers should contact us before attending.
The warmer months often begin with a club open-water session. The venue and safety cover are confirmed with members beforehand.
Interval running and pool swimming form the main evening sessions, with circuits or spin added on selected weeks.
Selected weeks include a track session, with another evening pool swim forming a regular part of the week.
Winter usually means Zwift. In summer the bikes head outside for social rides, hills, short intervals or time-trial work, with an occasional DAAC track session.
Summer training can include an early open-water swim, while an evening online yoga session keeps some useful mobility in the week.
Weekend group rides are arranged with the time and route confirmed nearer the day. Occasional long-course swims are also included.
The first session alternates between interval running and swimming, followed by a regular pool swim.
New members: please contact the membership team before attending so we can point you to the right session and confirm any kit, access or safety requirements.
